# Alangan - The Problem

1. **Chronic financial constraints**

The Karaton Surakarta Hadiningrat is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been struggling to maintain its operations due to chronic financial constraints. The palace is self-funded and does not receive any funding from the government, despite its cultural and historical significance.

2. **Inadequate material and human resources**

The Karaton Surakarta Hadiningrat also lacks the material and human resources it needs to preserve its cultural heritage. The palace does not have enough staff, equipment, or training to properly maintain its buildings and artifacts.

*As a result, the palace is in danger of falling into disrepair and its traditions are in danger of being lost.*

3. **Lack of public awareness**

The Karaton Surakarta Hadiningrat also faces a lack of public awareness. Many people are not aware of the palace's existence or its importance.

This lack of awareness is due to a number of factors, including the lack of funding for marketing and outreach, as well as the spread of misinformation about the palace.

*As a result, many people do not know the challenges the palace is facing and are not motivated to help preserve it.*

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://deksa.gitbook.io/deksa-whitepaper/deksa/purwa/alangan-the-problem.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
